The Traffic
Records Improvement Program Reporting System (TRIPRS) contains detailed
information on all projects contained in the strategic plans submitted by
the states and U.S. Territories. Users may view the project name, detailed project
description, lead agency, milestones, performance measures, baselines, and
planned budget information. This is a restricted access area; select state
personnel are granted access to their state's
information only, NHTSA Regions are granted access to all states within
their region, and select USDOT personnel have read access for all states.
Only state
and federal staff will be assigned logins. Those logins that are
established from within a State will be verified with the State Safety Data
Coordinator.
The Data
Improvement Projects Clearinghouse is intended to be a clearinghouse for information on
traffic safety data system improvement efforts at the federal and state level,
and to support the internal needs of NHTSA and the states for tracking and
monitoring the data improvement efforts within each state. It contains a
public view of the project data contained in TRIPRS, and contains only
project descriptions containing no sensitive data and the project manager
and their contact information.
The Traffic Records
Inventory (TRI) allows users to navigate by system or state to find
information about state traffic records systems.
The TRI is provided as a service to the public, and in
particular those within the highway safety community. It represents the
best available information about each of the traffic safety data systems
within each state and territory. The information contained in the Traffic
Records Systems Inventory drawn from a database containing basic information
about the traffic records systems within each state and who manages them.
States are encouraged to update their pages at least annually.
