AL - Alabama
As of 2008, an integrated centralized repository for citations, pending actions, or dispositions is being established at the Alabama Administrative Office of Courts (AOC). The Statewide Traffic Offense Repository is a centralized repository that has internal controls and procedures for tracking the complete traffic citation (distribution to an officer, to its issuance to an offender, to its disposition by the court, and its placement on the driver history file). An electronic citation is being implemented in Alabama. The Highway Patrol Division of the Department of Public Safety, and the AOC have collaborated on a project that collects citation data in the field, transfers the data wirelessly to the E-Citation Store, uploads to the AlaCourt, and sends the convictions electronically through AlaCourt to the driver licensing agency.
