The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has developed a comprehensive approach to traffic citation data. Information concerning the issuance of tickets and disposition of traffic related offenses are captured by means of a citation form. Following citation submission to the courts, citation data are routinely entered into one of two automated case processing systems (District Court or Court of Common Pleas) that forwards appropriate data to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for inclusion in the Driver’s History file.
