As of year 2009, the lack of a unified court system in Tennessee prevents the creation of a statewide, central repository of citation data which is essential for the evaluation of the enforcement and adjudication activities of the State. No single source of data exists containing information about the life cycle of all citations including information about the original arrest and all subsequent actions including the final disposition.
