This version of the State EMS Forms was posted on this site on 3/06/2009, and revised by the state on 3/28/2005. Last updated 08/18/2010.

The state of Maine has been submitting to NEMSIS since January 2007. Maine is submitting 100% of the NEMSIS elements. Maine has 100% of their agencies submitting 100% of their data to the state database.

Per Jay Bradshaw, " January 1, 2009 marked a significant date in Maine EMS history, because that is the date by which all services were to have switched from our old paper forms to the new electronic data collection system, MEMSRR."

Maine has a newly implemented, web-based, statewide data system called EMS State Bridge. This gives Maine's EMS agencies the flexibility to collect their own data and then upload to the state via XML or enter their runs via a web browser using an online run form. The report writing feature allows agencies to define their own reports, publish them to several different formats, and schedule when the reports are to be run and delivered via email. This data mining tool is also available to the State for statistical analysis of the states 100,000 annual runs. Data entering into the system is scored utilizing a custom validity engine that analyzes the data for completeness. The system was developed by ImageTrend, Inc.
