NM - New Mexico
This version of the State EMS Forms was posted on this site on 03/05/2009, and revised by the state on 4/12/2005. New Mexico began submitting data to
NEMSIS as of October 2008. Currently
the percentage of services reporting are 45.3%. New Mexico will be collecting data in two parts. First is the ongoing collection and updating of EMS Agency contact information, which is stored and available for review or updates at www.nmemstars.org. Second is the ongoing submission of run reports, which can be done through the web based, ImageTrend, run report data entry system; or, if the agencies EMS run data is either Silver or Gold level NEMSIS compliant, it can be downloaded into NMEMSTARS. New Mexico is considering requiring the submission of approximately 39 NEMSIS defined, national level elements. However, they would like to collect an additional 50 “optional” elements so they can generate meaningful reports and contribute to the national data system. Over 45 New Mexico ambulance services are currently participating in the statewide EMS data collection project, with services being added on a regular basis. The goal is to have all New Mexico ambulance services compliant and submitting the minimum required data by January 1, 2009.
