NV - Nevada
This version of the State EMS Forms was posted on this site on 03/06/2009, and revised by the state on 11/15/2002. Nevada has been submitting to NEMSIS since January 2008. There are 90% of states agencies submitting 100% of their runs. Per the Nevada COMMITTEE ON EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES meeting conducted on March 26, 2007
"Fergus Laughridge reviewed the NEEDS program
used by State Health Division for patient care reporting. Most rural
services are using the software provided by the State Health
Division and the Office of Rural Health. The vendor, Med Media,
works with other collection software vendors to develop an interface
so that data from those other systems can be uploaded to the NEEDS
program. Med Media has been working with the National EMS
Information System (NEMSIS) to ensure that Nevada is certified as
being compliant with the national system. This certification
provides funding opportunities for the state. Access has been
granted to the Department of Transportation (NDOT) for reporting
purposes. As a result of this access, Nevada has moved to the top
percentile in reporting compliance."
